Bellarine 'Rose Cottage' B&B is an 1890's cottage which has been lovely and beautifully restored. It still retains it's worldly charm but with modern facilities. It is an ideal honeymoon getaway or a romantic retreat set in 127 acres among olive trees, roses, proteas and beef cattle. It is a short distance from Geelong, Portarlington and Queenscliff. From Geelong - Get on to the Portarlington Rd, (the C123) look for the signs to Portarlington. The C123 starts as Ryrie Street, the main East/West street in Geelong). Follow this road for 15 minutes, through Leopold, once past the Curlewis Golf Club you'll approach a big roundabout and need to be in the right hand lane and go left (NOT hard left from the left hand lane). Continue along this road (still the C123). Turn right into Murradoc Road and follow towards St Leonards, turn left at the Queenscliff/Portarlington Road roundabout. Travel 3.5 kms to Coatsworthy Road, you'll see the Bellarine Rose Cottage sign, turn right. Travel 3.5kms again and Bellarine Rose Cottage is on your left.
From the Queenscliff Sorrento Car Ferry - Follow the road into Queenscliff and continue along this road (Hesse Street) until you come to a roundabout near the Bowling Club with a sign to Geelong. Turn right and follow this road for 6 minutes. Turn right into the Queenscliff Portarlington Road (C126). Follow this road for about 10 minutes and turn right into Murradoc Road. Follow the instructions above as from Geelong.
From the Great Ocean Road - From the Surf Coast Highway, (the B100) Look out for the signs to Barwon Heads and Ocean Grove. Turn right into Mount Duneed Road, and follow the signs through Barwon Heads and then Ocean Grove. At the roundabout at Shell and Grubb Roads, continue going straight for about another 4 minutes. At the big roundabout at the junction of the Bellarine Highway and Grubb Road turn right towards Queenscliff and in about 7 minutes turn left on to the Queenscliff/Portarlington Road, then right into Murradoc Road, and follow the ins |
