Peninsula Searoad Transport operate the Queenscliff-Sorrento Car-Passenger Ferry which runs every day of the year, in all weather conditions, every hour on the hour, from 7am till 6pm. From the 26th December till the end of Daylight Saving, they also run an additional 7pm service. Click here to access the Queenscliff Ferry Website. The ferry trip across the bay takes approximately 35 - 40 minutes. 

The 788 Frankston - Portsea Bus Service is the most popular bus for OzBook clients getting back to Melbourne via the Mornington Peninsula.  It will take you the length of the Peninsula via the bay and is fairly regular. It's run by the Portsea Passenger Service and you can access other timetables for the Mornington Peninsula via the Portsea Passenger Service Website.
