You can enjoy Forrest all year round, from cool waterfalls, lakes, dams and rivers in summer to misty walks and wood heaters in winter. A fully-equipped kitchen and adjacent dining area overlook a sizable backyard of native gum trees, while the lounge room includes two and three-seater couches, wood fire and a 42 inch flat screen television. Bathroom with full-size bath and separate shower abuts a laundry (with washer and dryer) and separate toilet. Outside, a carport offer undercover parking as well as ample room for several vehicles in the driveway/front of property. This quiet residential street is only minutes from the West Barwon dam and local sights, including the beautiful Lake Elizabeth and the town’s many walking and mountain-biking tracks. Less than 1 minute to The Southern Trailhead. Further afield, some of the region’s other tourist attractions such as Stevenson’s Falls, Skene’s Creek and Apollo Bay are perfect for family and group day trips. Forrest itself boasts the Forrest Brewery, the Wonky Donkey pub, the Forrest Guesthouse , general store for groceries and The Corner Store for coffee and bike hire and repairs.. Guests looking to splurge may wish to investigate Brae Restaurant’s indulgent menu with matched wines (located in Birregurra, only 25km north toward Winchelsea) for dinner (Thursday-Saturday) or lunch (Friday-Monday). Cancellation Policy
14 days notice is required for cancellation. Cancellation or no show of less than 14 days notice forfeit the full tariff of the first night In addition during peak season (December–Easter and all school holidays) long weekends festivals and events cancellation nor no show of less than 7 days notice forfeit the full tariff. We appreciate that most guests will respect the property. However we note that the property is in a quiet residential area and we ask that noise be kept to a minimum especially after 10.00pm. The property should be left in a similar condition as on arrival. Additional charges will apply for breakages or damages accidental or otherwise and where the property is not left neat and tidy. The number of guests should not exceed the number booked. Otherwise additional charges will apply.
Directions
From Geelong, continue along the Princes Highway (M1) through Geelong and continue on this highway until you come to the Cape Otway Road turnoff (the C135), about 5 minutes past Waurn Ponds. Turn left into the Cape Otway Road or C119 and continue for about 25 minutes. The Cape Otway Road turns into Forrest Road. Grant Street is the main street of Forrest and Forrest Road turns into Grant Street. The cottages are on your left at 87. From Colac follow the Princes Highway (A1) towards Geelong. 20 minutes out of Colac turn right into the Colac Forrest Road (C154). This will bring you to the main street of Forrest. Turn right, this is Grant Street. The cottages are on your left at 87. From the Great Ocean Road From Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road take the Forrest/Apollo Bay Road (C119) . Follow this road to Forrest which will bring you into the main street which is Grant Street. The house is at 87 on your right.
